hi,
any chance you could look into support for gun metal? the flying robot game on steam.
doesn't launch at all with dxwrapper.

game as is fails to launch with "unsupported graphics card" but launches if windows xp sp3 compat is set on the properties.

with that set and dxwrapper it doesn't launch at all, process appears briefly in task manager and closes.

tried the WinVersionLie & WinVersionLieSP options without compat setting in properties but just ends up with unsupported graphics card with both nothing.

I am testing with the GOG version of the game. The game uses d3d9.dll stub and attempts to call whatever function is at ordinal 17. Not sure what it is trying to do but to fix this I will need to move all functions around so that non of them are on ordinal 17.

forgot to mention dxvk works on it's own and i got dxwrapper to load with winmm.dll stub but the frame limiter and other settings appeared to be not working. as it said 300fps but the game is capped at 30fps.

Yes, it is a good thing to fix. I just need to work on it when I get a chance.

Yes, stub winmm.dll should work fine.

Frame limiter can't remove the game's built-in cap. The code in the game that sets the limit would likely need to be removed or modified. That may require a change in the game code or a mod.

You could try enabling ForceVsyncMode (making sure EnableVSync remains disabled). I doubt it will work, but it's worth a try.

sorry i meant the show fps option showing 300fps. dxvk correctly shows 30fps though.

I just checked with dxwrapper and it is able to limit the FPS to 30 with this game. Did you try setting LimitPerFrameFPS to 30? Also, did you make sure to enable the EnableD3d9Wrapper option?

If you did both of those then are you sure the FPS is reading as 300 and not 30.0?

also dinputto8 doesn't work, game crashes after launching, was hoping to try the setting to speed up mouse movement as the game suffers from mouse acceleration.

The game may be using vsync to cap the game's FPS. Maybe vsync isn't capping it properly because of another setting (like something in your GPU configuration or windowed mode setting or something else). However, vsync isn't the best way to cap the game's FPS. Instead, I have a feature called LimitPerFrameFPS. If you set that to 30 it should cap this game.

Forced vsync just disables vsync so it will increase the FPS. That is normal.

The latest build under the Actions tab should have a fix for this.
