Example:

  1. type div.foo
  2. press Tab
  3. editor now contains div.<div class="foo"></div> - the original text is left

FWIW this behavior is new as of today as far as I can tell.

versions

  • vscode 1.97.0 33fc5a94a3f99ebe7087e8fe79fbe1d37a251016 x64
  • ubuntu 24

Looks like something with VSCode implementation. You should create an issue here: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode
