Lizzie seems to be laggy

When I turn on the analysis, my mouse becomes super laggy making it difficult to click on things, does anyone know of a way to fix this? 
I should probably note I am running lizzie on Ubuntu.

Also, I was wondering if there was a way to have ai play against itself and if there was a way to change the ko rules. Thanks for any help you can give me.
