Paste from clipboard(CTRL-V) not working on some apps

Description

Flameshot is running, image extension set to jpg.

When I click the printscreen shortcut I've set, select an area, click ctrl-c to copy(also tried clicking the copy button) and try pasting it in an app like paint or whatsapp web, it simply does not paste anything.

But for some reason it works to paste on telegram

Steps to reproduce

run 'flameshot gui'
select a region on any monitor
press CTRL+C or click on "copy to clipboard button"
When trying to paste in apps like whatsapp web or paint, nothing happens

i have the same problem after upgrading form 12.1 to 13.1 in ubuntu 24.04 lts.
At the first start the attached error occurred

Having the same problem on linux. Just to bump this

Edit: I tried downgrading and even then its broken.

Edit 2: Tried shutter (another screenshot app) and that works fine

Edit 3: After some digging it seems to be flameshot. When I press ctrl-c flameshot freezes and thus the bug that I can't paste it. I found this issue from year ago describing the same issue #3785

I experienced this as well. It only happens with JPG (I've changed to jpg so the copied image is smaller), and for instance my clipboard apps (Ditto / PasteBar) don't recognize it, and I cannot paste it in Element (matrix app), but Telegram works.

After some testing I am pretty sure that the problem is not with the pasting (at least for me) but rather that flameshot freezes for a couple of seconds. I can not interact with flameshot at all for like 10s after pressing ctrl-c to safe the screenshot to clipboard.
