[BUG] File ->New -> New Flutter Project Menu is missing in Version 85

In version 84, the option File ->New -> New Flutter Project Menu was working, but in version 85 it's missing. I am using the latest Android Studio version, its details are below.

Hello,

I can confirm this bug exists in version 85.0.4.

I also tested version 85.0.3, and the issue is not present there — the File -> New -> New Flutter Project menu appears as expected.

I haven't tested earlier versions due to compatibility issues with the current Android Studio version.

I also tested version 85.0.3, and the issue is not present there — the File -> New -> New Flutter Project menu appears as expected.

Confirmed here as well (present in 85.0.3 but not 85.0.4).

I believe that I have this fixed in the attached zip. This version works with Narwhal. For anyone willing to confirm, please verify that this attached Flutter IJ plugin zip (install with https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/managing-plugins.html#install_plugin_from_disk) fixes this issue. flutter-intellij.zip. The change includes recent changes to master as well as this change: #8049.

Assuming confirmation, and no surprises, we'll push out a new version, M85.1 early next week.

This is a temporary workaround I used when the issue occurred — I hope it helps you too!
1. First, uninstall the Flutter Plugin version 85.0.4 from the Plugins section in Android Studio.
2. Download the Flutter Plugin version 85.0.3 from the following link:
👉 https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/9212-flutter/versions
3. In Android Studio, go to Plugins > ⚙ (gear icon) > Install Plugin from Disk…
4. Select the downloaded plugin file for version 85.0.3 and install it.
5. Once the installation is complete, restart Android Studio.
