When primary key is not an integer, how do you obtain the primary key?

when you do an insert for a class that has a non integer primary key, how do you obtain the primary key? using rowid?

if you want to obtain primary key created by SQLite so you can do it only if primary key is integer. If it a string then error will occur. You can try it by yourself using raw SQLite
