On universal-pathlib I just received a PR with a contribution from hugging face fsspec/universal_pathlib#457 (comment). To enable tests I would need a hugging face account for the CI. I was wondering what your thoughts are on naming (should it be scoped to universal-pathlib only, or to the fsspec org) and sharing access to that account.

Update: looks like it's possible to mock the huggingface api for the tests. So this is likely not relevant anymore.

I don't think there's a pressing need for fsspec to own this, unless the HF cnotributoras need to make changes upstream. Even then, it's probably better to keep creds scoped to as small a set of repos as possible, given there are different maintainers of some repos.
