Hello everyone. Is there a setting which when i open the door, and the door input gets triggered, only prevents the spindle from running and jogging is still possible? of course only in idle. when a program is running it should still stop everything. Thanks

Not when a program is transferred. This will require a change in the communication protocol and changes to the senders to match.
If in Idle state and no program is transferred then $61 has an option to ignore the door open signal except disabling the spindle if laser mode ($32=1) is configured.

Thanks alot. now i feel alot better about implementing an atc with a bt30 spindle which needs an exact rotational position for changing tools.

Yes, when I get time I may add support to both grblHAL and ioSender. If you do not use ioSender you may then ask the developer of the sender you use to add support for the protocol extension.

Can you answer me in this thread when this has been implemented? so i can get the guys over at gSender to also implement it into their sender software, thank you.

btw: safe jogging probably needs two $ settings. one for choosing between normal door mode and safe jogging, and one for setting the safe jogging feed speed. thanks!
