Pico 2040 Trinamic

Using the web builder I could not find a way to enable trinamic, so I set up a vscode environment and discovered that even then it is explicitly blocked. It is just not implemented for a 2040 or am I misunderstanding the UART capabilities on a pico. I have many Pico 2040's and a similar amount of TMC2208's stepsticks that I would like to use in this way if it is technically possible.

Just to clarify, the issue is not to bypass the blocks or make it compile, I want to understand the reasons for blocking it so carefully. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

I would appreciate some insights on the current state of trinamic in RPI 2040's.

Low level driver code is in place for supported UART mode chips but currently not for SPI.
Only the SKR Pico 1.0 board has TMC2209 enabled, you will have to add a new or modify one of the other board maps.
