What would you like Grimmory to do?
there are three main issues with comicvine metadata search
the comics that I need metadata for, only appear in a comicvine search below roughly 40 incorrect results, if I use other apps such as comictagger to search (or simply use the cv website) I am able to scroll and find them but in Grimmory I only get returned the first 10 results and nothing more, so I cannot find the correct title this way
a simple solution to this, and one I prefer to use in calibre anyway, is to paste the comicvine ID and search by that. this guarantees the correct search result every time, but Grimmory does not allow me to do this. also, this can be faster, as the titles in the series appear on the website in sequence, so I don't need to search over and over for each title individually, instead I only need to find the series once and then I can click through each title in sequence and copy/paste the ID. so it would be useful if pasting the comicvine ID into the ISBN box worked for search. it would even more useful if it would also take this ID from the existing metadata as well as from the search box, as it might be easier for me to paste all the IDs in to the metadata editor in one go, and then go through and run the search on each one afterwards
one thing I also like in ComicTagger is that I don't need to search for the exact title - you can search for the series as a whole, and then click through to select a specific title from that series if needed - but as my files have the series number already in the filename, selecting the series on its own is always enough, and it uses the number from the filename to identify which title from that series it is. this is useful simply as a time saver when there are many titles to process
What problem does this solve for you?
comicvine metadata is completely non-functional for me as it only ever returns incorrect results
Anything else?
