I don't see a timer anywhere. I just installed benchmark extension, but I think I'm missing cmake installer.
What does cmake do?

Hi - thanks for trying the extension. If you try the following steps, what happens:

  1. Go to extensions in VScode
  2. Search for "benchmark" and you should see benchmark-vscode at the top
  3. Install

Do you then see the small timer icon on the left menu/panel?

The cmake examples are just to have something to test benchmark against, you don't need to use it if you already have a set of benchmarks ready to use.

Hello,

I don't see any timer. Should it be on the right side of the file? If so, it doesn't show up.

By default, it's on the left panel:

Can you confirm the extension has been installed i.e like this:
