Clear and concise description of the problem

The documentation only shows using modifiers with linked message, but says it supports named, list and literals. There is no documentation on how that would work since the example for linked messages looks like a literal. This makes the feature confusing.

Suggested solution

Add examples.

Further explain the syntax of how to do this.

Also stumbled upon this today and asked a question in kazupon/vue-i18n#734 (comment) as I didn't find a way to make the modifier work correctly on a list item...

Really looking forward to the docs update here! 👍
