Does Rust compiler work?

I would really like to be able to use Rust on iSH 🥹 I've managed to install cargo and rustc, but when I try to compile a .rs file with:

$ rustc test.rs

the shell outputs:

Illegal instruction

P.S. should this go in Issues? I'm new to discussions and issues on GitHub so do let me know if this is the right place to post this.

Kinda, not really.
Some people have tried compiling rust inside ish, but it’s super slow and hits missing deps
