docs/faq update - oauth2 implementation?

i didn't find any other way to ask this so i'm posting it as an issue.
are there any plans to implement oauth2 spec or is there a general consensus that oauth v1, as implemented now, is good enough?

would appreciate any info since i'm planning to use python-oauth2 on a project but can't decide if i should look for v2 implementation or just use this one.
and just to be clear, i'm talking about server implementation.

There are a few forks that feature this, but we haven't merged anything in yet.

Project's name is "python-oauth2" while it actually doesn't implement OAuth v2 at all.
I understand that there's background and reasons for this name, but really find this naming quite misleading.

Could you please mention this lack of v2 support on the main page?

It does say "A fully tested, abstract interface to creating OAuth clients and servers" but still, adding something like "(no support for OAuth2)" would save users some time.

not to mention that you are the first result when people google for "python oauth2".

So please please please put a note into short description and first few lines of the documentation. it is as appropriate and important as "100% test coverage".

and yes, merging in v2 support and documenting it would be the best solution.

That was 4 years ago, any planned schedule when/if this will happen at all? I also came across this lib by searching for oauth2, found the module name quite confusing as well.

The project is most assuredly dead and the project owner is no-where to be found. I haven't been able to raise him on skype or get comments here.
