geta fails ("no uuid pagemap")

Trying to geta for a PDF file with annotations. I get

Error: Failed to generate annotations for evans_NSERC with no uuid pagemap

Any clues? Next step/diagnostics?

Googling the error message I find something relevant here and the response says "there's an open pull request for that", but I'm not sure whether that refers to the post's primary question or to the secondary question ("now I have the zipped notebook with all metadata, content etc, what current tool would anyone advise i convert that into a pdf?")

I looked around for such a PR but nothing jumped out.

I poked around with exportNotebook from https://github.com/reHackable/maxio/tree/master/tools but so far without success ...

It's broken and I can't find the pull request that ddvk is referring to either. Even if you did get it working, the output is very basic as the readme states as well.

If you want decent output you use https://github.com/azeirah/remarks/tree/v6_with_rmscene it's the most up-to-date v3-compatible exporter.
