In-consistence letter scrolling

First of all, i commend you on this component its really resourcefully and save me a lot of time. The only issue i seem to have is that when i select a letter from the list on the right for the countries name; for example, selecting 'J' it does not go to the countries starting with 'J' but to the countries starting with 'B', then 'G' then finally to the 'J' countries. Is there any way this could be adjusted to make the letter scroll more consistent?

I receive the error "network request failed" . It doesnt work for me
