This looks resolved as of #1766 (merged 2026-05-27), which updated the google-genai dependency ceiling for 2.x support and added the missing rendered_parts field to the grounding-metadata test fixtures in test_chat_models.py — matching the schema drift described here.

Verified on current master: google-genai==2.10.0, all 334 unit tests pass, including all 7 grounding_metadata parametrized cases (test_response_to_result_grounding_metadata[raw_response2-...] specifically). Looks safe to close.
