Cannot find module 'laravel-nova-devtool'

• Nova Version: 5 (latest)

Hi, I made a custom tool for my Nova. I have a build server where i run all my npm run prod command on every nova component.

Something like this:
cd nova-components/OtpVerify && npm i && npm run prod

The generated tool has a composer.json which has the following part:

"require": {
        "php": "^8.1",
        "illuminate/support": "^10.0|^11.0"
    },
    "require-dev": {
        "laravel/nova": "^5.0",
        "laravel/nova-devtool": "^1.5"
    },

I should run composer install in my nova-component tool folder?

Does the following solve your issue?

-cd nova-components/OtpVerify && npm i && npm run prod
+cd nova-components/OtpVerify && composer update && npm i && npm run prod

Depending on your setup, it should either be composer update or composer install

Yes but i had to copy the auth.json inside my components folder (pleae add this to the documentation because its not clear).

I was able to cd into my nova-components/{COMPONENT_NAME} folder and run composer install which worked. I had already run npm install though so that may be a requirement as well
