Temporary chat mode is useful for privacy and experimentation, but there is no way to save a session if it later becomes valuable. Once the session ends, all data is lost.
Currently, users must manually copy content or avoid using temporary mode entirely, which reduces its usefulness. This creates a gap between privacy and usability.
What would you like to be added?
Add an option to convert a temporary chat into a permanent saved conversation.
Users should be able to explicitly save a temporary session at any point, after which it appears in chat history. The session should remain private by default unless the user chooses to persist it.
Why is this needed?
Temporary chat mode supports privacy and quick experimentation, but lacks a mechanism to retain conversations that later become important.
Allowing conversion to permanent chat prevents data loss, reduces manual effort, and lets users balance privacy with long-term usability.
