Does Pix do lossless JPEG cropping? It says that it supports "JPEG lossless transformations", but I'm not quite sure if that's the same thing. Perhaps something could be added to the docs in the Crop section?
Crop
This allows you to crop the image. Click and drag the mouse over the desired area of the image. The area may be locked to a specific aspect ratio, or it may be freely adjusted. A rule-of-thirds grid or golden-sections grid may be superimposed over the image for composition guidance.
jpegtran can crop to the nearest 8px or 16px block, and not re-encode the rest (not that I particularly understand the details, so forgive me if I'm off the mark here!).
(And thank you so much for the brilliant software, by the way, I love it.)
