I am getting the same error. I noticed these methods are in keras.layers.merge but they don't appear to be the same because I get new error when it tries to run dot.

Could you please list the version of Keras and TensorFlow you are using?

This might be due to a different version of Keras you are running. Try to run the following script: https://github.com/fchollet/keras/blob/master/examples/babi_memnn.py

It should produce the same output.

Update keras
sudo pip install keras --upgrade
It will solve this problem

Upgraded Keras to 2.0.2 and TensorFlow to 1.0.1 and everything looks good.
