Save app installer

Is it possible to save an app installer? It seems to get deleted automatically.

To do that you'd need to provide a path to a folder into which to save the .pkgs.

Should be for a folder path rather than for a file path because one command can get/install/update multiple apps.

What should the option be named? --save-pkgs-in? --save-pkgs? Etc.?

What do you want the pkg file names to be?

I forget their exact name format now; I think it might be a hash or something of the installer, dash, then the ADAM ID, then .pkg.

It might be nicest for users to have the app ID first to easily find them. Would including the app name & version in the file name also be useful?

Indeed, either look good, or maybe '--pkg-export-path`?

Package id and name plus also version covers all aspects - thank you.

Having this would be great because I have very limited internet access, so being able to download a package and keep it for offline installation to multiple computers is helpful.

The accompanying receipt file would also be necessary to properly configure the app after it was installed from the pkg.

That would require either:

1. mas install supporting optional arguments for paths to the 2 files, then using them to install
2. a shell script that installs using the files, without using mas

I prefer 2 because that keeps the Swift code simpler.

I could distribute such a zsh script with the Swift binary.
