Should we use GitPoll to vote on syntax and features for Streem?

It seems that certain features and changes to Streem are popular or unpopular, but wouldn't it be better to actually manage polls/votes on certain things to decide, instead of doing it by hand?

👍 I haven't used a service like this before, so I'm not 100% sure this would help us, but I think it's definitely worth a try. Google Forms also makes it pretty easy to set up polls, then you can export the data to Google Sheets, Excel, CSV, etc.

The only thing is that you have to own the repo to be able to set a poll on any issues in it, so @matz will have to do it.

I still don't understand how to set up a poll on gitpoll. Can we set up a poll for multiple alternatives?

I don't know. Let me check that out. I broke my account on it by refusing its rites, but it still thinks im signed in. And no, I don't think you can poll on multiple issues. Searching for alternatives.

It seems to me like gitpoll is infested with bugs and weird, undocumented behavior. I recommend against using it. A possible alternative is ZenHub, which allows voting on issues and issue comments. Unfortunately, it only works on Chrome.

I don't like the idea of forcing people to use specific browsers. How about using a more traditional poll tool, such as Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, or Facebook polls? I know Facebook polls support custom options, but I'm not sure about the other options.

Could one use Facebook polls without an account? (sorry I'm so indifference to FB I don't bother to find it out myself).

I suppose Facebook is as hated as Chrome.

What this world needs is an open-source, online polling system that's easy to use, well designed, integrated with GitHub, etc. Any volunteers?

This is a 2 year old issue, but you could just use the thumbs up/down responses on GitHub issues for this instead.

Yeah you're right. I'm just pointing out that because this feature now exists, it's an option we can use rather than a polling system, which may be more to peoples liking.
