Description

The Conditional Access Documenter tool does not include Authentication Flow controls, specifically the Device Code Flow, in the PowerPoint export. While this feature is still in preview, its omission impacts the completeness and accuracy of documentation for Conditional Access policies utilizing this flow.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a Conditional Access policy that includes Authentication Flow (Preview) conditions, such as Device Code Flow.
  2. Use the Conditional Access Documenter tool https://idpowertoys.merill.net/ca to generate a PowerPoint export of the policy.
  3. Review the exported slides for the Authentication Flow details, including Device Code Flow conditions.

Expected Behavior

The PowerPoint export should display the Authentication Flow conditions, including Device Code Flow, when configured in a policy.

Actual Behavior

The Device Code Flow (under Authentication Flows - Preview) is missing from the PowerPoint export.

Example Policy Details

  • Policy Name: CAP003-All: Block device code authentication flow - v1.0
  • Conditions: Authentication Flow (Preview) - Device Code Flow
  • Access Controls: Block Access

Additional Notes

The inclusion of preview features like Device Code Flow in documentation is critical for environments actively testing or implementing these functionalities. Improving support for these conditions in exports will enhance the tool’s utility for such scenarios.
