Env extension doesn't work at all

I have to disable the extension to have "partially again" my syntax highlight and all parameters of the extension are weird too.
It's a total mess !

All kind of weird thing start to play out since today

Gimme back my simple global interpreter for python !
I dont wanna use venv !
I dont wanna use workspace !
I wanna simple edit my files and use a global pip/python from my WSL ! No frills

@felipediefenbach Sorry that you are running into this. Please make sure you are on the latest of both VS Code (v1.104) and the Environments extension (v1.8.0), then run Python: Clear cache and reload from the command palette? and see if that helps. If not, please share the logs from Output > Python Environments and from Output > Python.

It is likely that somewhere /python is saved as the default search path. The above logs might have the clues on where this is saved, or where this is coming from.
