What triggers this??

I keep getting this message: see attached.
I checked with the vendor of this software and they state that there is NO update labelled 6.42.18.1 for there product; in fact they state that 6.42.18 is the latest, current release.
So, I was curious; how is this message triggered

I don't know who or what happened but someone (who probably wishes to remain anonymous) has made a correction to this package list.
Now, the problem has disappeared and subsequent updates of IDM are applied successfully!
