Can it run in iphone background to scan and send to server each 5 seconds?

I run your code in my Mac and it's worked perfectly. I just have a question. Can I modify your code and run in background in iphone then send data to server each of 5 seconds?
Or do you have any suggestion for my expect.

Please help!
