So, this is not a click-bait title. Also not a suggestive question either. mpv is used by many people, there are active developers, all is well here. The future is there, most likely for many, many more years to come.
What I am thinking here is more about the long term part. Naturally I have my own xmas-wish-list for mpv, e. g. embedded use, use in a browser directly (so I can play old .avi files) and so forth. But I am thinking here whether mpv itself has some grand goals or objectives, roughly. I am not regularly keeping track of what has changed in mpv; mostly I am fine if things work and that's about it. But I am curious about changes nonetheless. Anyone feeling like making like twice-a-year extended release notes or so? Just to keep track of what has changed. I think twice a year should be fine, like middle and end of the year or so. Just for people who have not been kept up to touch with changes due to their own time constraints.
