FT / TaskPaper 3 (question)

Just a quick question, I hope it's not the wrong place to ask:

TaskPaper just (?) got a bigger update; but some while ago many of us where happy FoldingText will still get some love. Now I'm just wondering - is TP3 build on top of FT ?, or will it get better, newer features, more developement time, ... ?!? Is FoldingText still active?

Hope this question makes some sense ; )
