Why is IW3 about 15% faster on Linux (Mint) than on Windows ?

Having a dual boot system with Windows 10 and Linux Mint 22.1 (=Ubuntu 24.04) i noticed that IW3 on Linux processes about 15% faster than on Windows.
Just wanna ask if anyone knows the reason for this behaviour ?

Because Windows is not Linux.
C compiler, standard library, implementations of process, thread, and all system calls, as well as the relationship between CUDA and display driver—everything is different.

The fact that there's only a 15% difference is likely the result of the great achievements by Microsoft, NVIDIA, Intel, and PyTorch in recent years.

I use Linux as my main OS since about 3 years and i really love it... only use windows when i have no other choise.
So far i just i didn't noticed that there is such a relevant performance gap... interresting fact !
