Disabling release check url not working

Hi folks,
I'm opening this thread to get an understanding on how can I disable the New Release Available banner in the UI. This might be similar to this thread, however, I'm looking for the opposite here.

NetBox version

v4.1.4

Python version

3.12.3

Steps to Reproduce

The RELEASE_CHECK_URL option is currently working. We want to disable it and although the RELEASE_CHECK_URL environment variable has been removed from /opt/netbox/netbox.env and service restarted, the banner is still present in the UI. Wondering if we missed something, but haven't find further instructions in the documentation.

Appreciate any help!

The New Release Available banner should not be seen.

Observed Behavior

Banner present in the UI:

If you want to do it with the .env file, I'm pretty sure you cannot remove the option, it should be empty

The variable is neither in configuration.py

It looks like it's getting stored somewhere in the database, the host was also redeployed and still getting the banner for Nebox v.4.3.0, although the latest is v4.3.1

following these steps resolves the issue:

cache.clear()
