Changing System Currency for POS

Step 1 - Open Control Panel

Step 2 - Select Clock and Region and then Change Date, Time and Number Formats 

Step 3 - Select additional formats

Here you can see the current settings. Let's look at the output from QuickBooks POS

Step 5 - Changing the settings for our currency

Now lets change that to Japanese Yen ¥ and look at the output from POS

Great! It works.

One Small Issue

Looks like everything is fine, however, this time I used Indian Rupee symbol ₹ which is not supported by POS. The unsupported symbol is replaced with a ? as the placeholder for the symbol.

The solution to this is using text characters instead of the unsupported currency symbols.
