Firefox opens on whichever workspace it is already running

Steps to reproduce:

1. Select an initial workspace: alt-1
2. Open firefox: alt-b = 'exec-and-forget open -n /Applications/Firefox\ Developer\ Edition.app'
3. Change workspace: alt-2
4. Open firefox: alt-b

Expected result:
Firefox opens a new window on whichever workspace is active.
Actual result:
Firefox jumps back to workspace 1, and opens the new window there.

I have a theory: can you please check if the new window that you open reuses window ID from the previous Firefox closed window

I just discovered that this is the case for Finder's quick look preview window (the one that appears when user hits button)

Thank you so much for your response (and for making aerospace!).
I tried reproducing the issue and checking the window IDs.
I noticed, It did not happen on my first attempt, but happened after subsequent attempts.
Here are my steps:

1. Moved to an empty workspace: alt-SHIFT-4
2. Opened Firefox: alt-b
3. Checked window IDs in current workspace:

❯ aerospace list-windows --workspace focused
30226 | Firefox Developer Edition | Firefox Developer Edition
30352 | Ghostty

5. Moved to another empty workspace: alt-SHIFT-5

6. Opened Firefox: 'alt-b'
   Firefox window successfully opened in focused workspace.

7. Checked window IDs:

❯ aerospace list-windows --workspace focused
30388 | Firefox Developer Edition | Firefox Developer Edition
30370 | Ghostty

Since the first attempt did not replicated the issue, I attempted to close and open a Firefox window on that same workspace (workspace 5).

8. Closed Firefox window with native keybind Cmd-w
9. Opened firefox window: alt-b.
10. Steps 8 and 9 were repeated until the Firefox window opened in workspace 4.
    (It did so around the 5th attempt)
11. Change focus to workspace-4: alt-SHIFT-4
12. Check window ID's on workspace-4

30425 | Firefox Developer Edition | Firefox Developer Edition
30226 | Firefox Developer Edition | Google
30352 | Ghostty                   |
