Nuxt 3 and bootstrap-vue, any version

https://bootstrap-vue.org/vue3 calls for @vue-compat .. I do not see @vue-compat installed with the latest nuxt 3 npx nuxi@latest init my-app .. Does Nuxt 3 have a compat build, or is @vue-compat library the only way? Is it reasonably simple to get something working with Nuxt 3 and bootstrap-vue yet?

It seams nuxt bridge is compiling to common js but I have a es6 module. require() of ES Module /home/user/project/.nuxt/dist/server/server.js not supported. ..
