Quo vadis Observable?

I am a big fan of Observable Plot and Framework.

Framework has begun to be a real contender for data apps, offering a much better presentation platform than BI tools, while keeping the complexity below Svelte/Vue/React applications.

With the deprecation of Cloud and the announcement of Canvas, I am wondering where Observable is heading. We have seen slightly reduced speed of updates for Plot and Framework, most likely because resources went to Canvas. I am wondering now about the future of Framework. Will you continue shaping the product or will the focus shift to other Observable modules.

The reason I am asking is quite simple: As a consultant, what do you recommend to a client: Build dashboard apps with a simple, but powerful framework like Observable, or use a framework like Svelte that has a larger ecosystem, but comes with additional complexities.

A quick look behind the scenes would be greatly appreciated.
