Index Maintenance RESUME Keyword

Only one question about SQL Server Index and Statistics Maintenance:
I see in your index optimize script maintenace the keyword @Resumable (about index).
Ok it’s clear how the index works with resumable command, but in your script how it works?
I mean, If I select resumable then the command stop the reindex?
How I can restart the ALTEX INDEX after pausing?
When it stop the alter index?

Let's say that the server is restarted or if there is a failover. If you are running with resumable, then the index rebuild will be paused in the current state. You can resume it again, either manually or by rerunning IndexOptimize.

Another scenario is if you are running IndexOptimize using @Resumable = 'Y' and @TimeLimit. Then it will set MAX_DURATION based on the time remaining of the @TimeLimit.
