This is a YouTube series where the viewers will learn how to instrument their JavaScript app to collect, process, and export telemetry data.

Each episode will be 10 min or less and is designed to take the audience through the steps outlined in this content roadmap.

  • Episode 1: What is OTel Video

  • Test out instrumentations steps and divide out episodes

  • Incorporate Dan Blanco's advice about API into relevant episodes (convey the message that open-source libs will also use OpenTelemetry API and thus there’s a user benefit of not having to instrument everything. Maybe when you cover instrumentation libraries, you could mention that instrumentation libraries are only needed when the open-source lib they’re instrumenting does not use the OTel API, but more and more libs are using it natively (better performance, closer the author, etc)

  • Produce the next episode in the series and release on the YouTube channel

  • Draft the social promo for the next episode
