Is ChatGPT Pro 20x 2x*5x or 4x*5x?

When I run the numbers on the ratio between 20x and 5x, the results of my calculations are that the 20x plan has four times the usage of the 5x plan.

However, a post on x.com by @tibo-openai suggests that actually 20x is only 2x * 5x, because 20x is 2x * 10x until May and the actual number for the 20x plan after May is 10x. At the same time, tibo says 5x is actually 10x until May because 10x is 5x * 2x, the 2x being the bonus promo 2x until May which is already in the 20x plan.

I suppose the source of truth is not the pricing page, but this X post from 10 days ago, but hard to say given they said they would update the pricing page and 10 days is a long time to be knowingly misleading consumers. Would be good to get an update on this @tibo-openai

Yeah, the messaging around this is pretty confusing right now.

From the pricing page it looks like Pro is effectively 4× the 5x tier, but the X post makes it sound like both plans currently include temporary bonus multipliers, which changes the real ratio underneath.

Would definitely help if the limits page showed both the base quota and the temporary promo multiplier separately.

The plans are realy FINE and FAIR THANKS a LOT ++ :)

I do run 10x - Ok its still to tiny and still masive to flat-thinking, (and its sure to less tokens to work 24/7 :((

BUT its amazing what it can do +++

Actually i do try to form a linux app for organizing big case maps and display handled by codex-cli any hw3d side contracts ...

BUT devloping on codex windows lokale and operating app code on multiple servers and domains - will do confuse codex/gpt all the time ..

I think here it needs a layer more in "server and project home orientation" ... (live is not all time a sigle web-page with a hellokitty on it) "GG"

No clue if this do anyday run but i think its a fine way, and sure if codex do handle a side contract in an app, i as a non-programmer have no clue if it makes a sense "Ha-haa" - but it makes fun +++ :))
