OpenBMC Front-End Style Guide -- InVision

System Admins need to have a consistent GUI experience (visual style, behavior and interaction) across all panels of the OpenBMC, regardless of which company or development team created it.

  • This front-end style guide is a collection of modular components in the OpenBMC user interface. It includes rules and descriptions for color, typography, margins/spacing, interactions, components descriptions and use cases, etc.
  • It benefits designers and developers across all companies contributing to the OpenBMC achieve visual and behavior consistency and makes prototyping ideas and implementing new designs more efficient.
  • This style guide is currently being vetted by the IBM front-end development team. Comments, questions and changes can be provided in the InVision project, or they can be discussed during the bi-monthlyGUI Design work group calls.
