Summary

This is a feature request regarding the payment options for the Windows Virtual HID Driver license provided by libvirtualhid.

I would like to purchase a Windows license for libvirtualhid, preferably the lifetime license, but the current Polar checkout does not appear to provide a payment method that I can access from mainland China.

Current situation

I am located in mainland China and would like to purchase the license through an official and legitimate channel.

However, I do not have access to an internationally enabled Visa or Mastercard. The payment methods commonly available to individual users here are:

• Alipay
• WeChat Pay
• China UnionPay
• PayPal, where supported
• Domestic bank transfer

Apple Account balance cannot be used for third-party Apple Pay transactions, and Apple Pay still requires an eligible bank card. Third-party virtual-card services are often unreliable and introduce additional payment, refund, and account-security risks.

Request

Would LizardByte consider providing one or more of the following options?

• Alipay or WeChat Pay
• China UnionPay
• PayPal
• A manual invoice or another official payment link
• An authorized reseller or payment partner serving mainland China

Alternatively, is there an existing official payment method that customers in mainland China can use?

I am willing to pay the listed price and am not requesting a free license. I am only looking for a supported and legitimate way to complete the purchase.

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately this part is outside of our control as we're relying on Polar.sh as our merchant of record. Basically they purchase the software from me and then resell it.

There is an open issue for additional payment options though. polarsource/polar#7701
