Clarify how KOReader Sync works in a multi-user environment

What are you trying to do?

I'm trying to set up Grimmory for two users who both use KOReader on separate e-readers.
Both users should be able to read the same books independently while keeping their own reading progress, reading status, statistics, and last read position.
After reading the KOReader Sync documentation, I'm confused about how this is supposed to work. The documentation explains how to configure KOReader Sync and mentions the required permissions, but it doesn't explain how multiple Grimmory users are handled.

What's happening instead?

From the documentation, it appears that KOReader Sync is configured with a single username/password under Settings → Devices. Because of this, I'm unsure whether:
each Grimmory user has their own KOReader sync account,
reading progress is stored per Grimmory user,
or whether two users syncing the same book could overwrite each other's progress.
I may simply be misunderstanding how KOReader Sync works, but the current documentation doesn't make this clear.

I think it would be helpful if the documentation included a section explaining how KOReader Sync behaves in a multi-user environment.

Is KOReader Sync designed to work independently for each Grimmory user?

How are KOReader clients associated with Grimmory users?

What happens if two users read and sync the same book?

Is this use case currently supported?

If multi-user KOReader Sync is not supported, it would also be helpful if the documentation stated that explicitly so users know what to expect.

Apparently, something I was not aware of is that the KOReader sync settings are configured per user, allowing each user to have their own sync configuration.

The current documentation does not clearly specify this, which makes the behavior quite confusing. It would be helpful if the documentation mentioned that the sync setup is user-specific and not a global configuration.
