Some book covers do not load completely

Some book covers do not load completely in Grimmory. The image starts loading from the top corner and gradually renders line by line, almost pixel by pixel, toward the center of the image. However, before the entire cover is loaded, the remaining area suddenly turns gray.

The original cover image itself does not seem to be corrupted or damaged, as the same cover loads and displays correctly and completely in Calibre, Readest, and BookOrbit.

This seems to happen consistently with some covers. I am not sure whether the issue is related to image loading, rendering, or the way Grimmory processes certain image formats.

This looks like they were extracted and written incorrectly. Are there any public examples?

Hmm, when I open those ebooks with Calibre E-Book Editor, I only see one cover.jpg. I'm not sure what the issue is now.

Because calibre probably assumes it isn't possible and only reads the second image.

I suggest reading the file with an archive viewer.

You're right. I have extracted the epub file with 7zip before but it was overwritten I guess therefore I saw only one cover file. Now I opened it with 7zip and I see there are two cover.jpg files. Im not even sure how that's possible two files with same path in a compressed file. 🙈 🙈

It's technically possible but seemingly discouraged.

I just merged a change that'll land in tonight's nightly build which should allow replacing the cover file in the situation you're in.

I'm going to open one more issue for you here for properly readin the correct file and not partially reading them.
