Button for Location entry in File open and file save dialog

I realy miss beeing able to paste a path in a file open dialog.

We should also bee able to show location entry by pressing a button with the mouse where marked red in image bellow.

i have found a shortcut for this before (ALT+L or similar) but can not get anything to work now. I'm on mint 22.3 at the moment

I use this alot when working in terminal and want to save something to the same location..

Use Control+L, or /

Unfortunately we have no control over the appearance of this dialog, it's not part of the file manager, but part of the graphical toolkit many apps use (Gtk).

Thanks for the information. None of those shortcuts work. ALT+L used to work on the prev mint release i think

I think that, since many apps are now using the portal, it would be possible to use Nemo to implement a file chooser. That would also bring other good features such as real context menus, icon view and so on.

As noted by @mtwebster, nothing Mint can do about this.
