While some media may be released under an open license, in my experience, the large majority of the content is only available to the students of a particular class. That is not to say this integration should not be implemented. After all, Opencast has already been integrated into some regional open educational resource repositories (e.g. edu-sharing and OERSI in Germany). However, I'm not sure if there is a University that would fund this work. |

Making content available in the Fediverse would align well with the "sharing knowledge widely and freely"-philosophy of Universities. It would help with discoverability which is a real problem for institutional data-repositories.
An implementation should probably be compatible with Peertube.
I was surprised that there is no feature request for this yet. Do you think it would be useful?
