Is it possible to expand a RustFS environment from SNSD to SNMD?

I first want to validate with SNSD, then add more drives to expand to SNMD when storage is insufficient—without impacting existing uploaded files.
I thought simply changing RUSTFS_VOLUMES=/data/rustfs0 to /data/rustfs{0..1} and restarting would work, but in practice, RustFS fails to start with errors.
