I was in a conversation with a few ecosystem agents about the opaqueness of the staking election to them, despite some of them being around for years.

Now, I did claim that if you search the right keywords in google/youtube, you find a lot of resources, but, granted, some are out of date and some are scattered everywhere.

We need one, unified, concise markdown page that explain the election process, with visuals, and host it in the wiki of this repo.

There should also be clear instructions on how to participate.

We can then port it to wiki.polkadot as well.

#1095 enhances the staking-miner's README by providing a concise explanation of the need for a staking miner. It aims to be brief rather than comprehensive, as this repository is not the appropriate place for an in-depth explanation imo.
