Feature Request: pages/blank.html

I was sad to find 2.4.0 removed pages/blank.html and replaced it with a hosted page.

I may be alone here, but I personally don't like the idea of github being notified every time I open a tab. There's also a chance of the hosted newtab page getting compromised, etc.

In the meantime, I've set my newtab page to moz-extension://[uuid]/pages/command_listing.html, which works, but is kind of suboptimal.

Please reinstate pages/blank.html. It was very useful.

The page opened when creating a new tab changed after the update for me. I learned there are some settings under "New tab URL" in Vimium to change new tab bahaviour. I set it to "Browser's default new tab page" to get the old behaviour back. Maybe this is useful for you as well!

@andrmos, unfortunately, that doesn't solve my problem. I need vimium to work on the newtab page. pages/blank.html allowed for that. The default browser tab does not.

And sometimes firefox tries to download the webhosted page instead of running it from cache, which delays the vomnibar for a few moments if the connection isn't perfect.

@shihiro09 have you tried hosting a local page and setting the new tab to that? The only part I haven't figured out is how to make the vomnibar open automatically.
