Padd telemetry not showing any relevant data

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
launch padd.sh in CLI

Expected behavior
The PADD utility should accurately show blocked domains, number of queries blocked, temperatures, DNS status, etc.

Your Pi-hole components are out of sync. I would run pihole -up to update it and check if this improves things.

Yes. The web interface indicates things are working fine (stuff getting blocked, queries listed, etc.).

I'll add I've been running pihole for 4+ years and it works great, but sometime since I updated the time before last padd stopped working. Today I updated padd to the latest version from 3. something when that had the same issue. Clearly the padd update didn't fix it.

I'll try this again in a few. Today was my biannual update check that I do, and so I did run pihole -up today to result in the versioning you see. Also, I of course updated padd as well.

I also get that prompt that my OS is not supported requiring me to run another command to ignore version check when updating. The original install is 4+ yrs old.

I ran the update again, and Core, Web, and FTL are all the same versions as they were before (same as I posted above).

You should upgrade your OS. Debian 10 (Raspbian) is EOL for > 1 year. We don't provide support for EOL OS. Current Debian version is 13 (!). Best way is to start with a fresh OS, then re-install Pi-hole. Remember to make teleporter backup.

We don't test Pi-hole v6 (or PADD) in Debian/Raspbian 10 anymore. That's why we don't provide support for this OS.

Looks like it's time for an OS upgrade. Even Raspbian 11 is 4 years old now.

If you are still having version issues, my only suggestion is to run sudo pihole updatechecker and then check pihole -v again.

Message received folks, thanks for the input. I don't monitor the latest releases (shame on me) for the pi os or Debian so I had no idea I was so behind. Honestly the pihole stuff runs perfectly and I never have any issues with it so I fell into the "don't fix it if it's not broke" approach. When I get some time, I'll think about how I want to approach the upgraded OS. I have 2 redundant rpis running pihole so hopefully I can just do them one at a time with no downtime.
