Description

@shenhuanet

As shown in the image, the error message indicates that the SDK cannot be found.

Furthermore, the files and folders in the cache have all been converted into shortcuts, ending with the .symlink extension. What could be the problem?

sadly this project is abandoned / not maintained.

@DarkHeros09 Not sure why you think that..

@shenhuanet Did you enable Developer Mode in Settings to allow non-admin users to create symlinks?

    I have the same issue.

    Setup:

    • OS: Windows 11
    • Developer mode is ON
    • Tested on VSCode and Antigravity

The error happens only when trying to run/build the app on Chrome or Edge. It works well when the target is Windows.
I validated the symlink flutter_web_sdk exists in the path.

I upvoted because I also suffered this problem on Windows when trying to build a web app

Hey everyone here. Maybe this can be fixed upstream on the Dart SDK (if this is right):

If it can't, we may need to make puro stop creating symlinks for those files/folders in precache.

@FMorschel Thank you for your reply. I see that you have encountered this problem before, and I will try to solve it following your guidance.

I've opened the SDK issue linked above a few hours ago. I'd first wait a few more hours to see what they'll say about my request.

But the only guidance I can give right now is to keep using something other than puro or to try and open a PR that avoids the cache folder inside the enviroments to replace flutter_web_sdk with a symlink.

I also encountered this issue and have been playing around with different flutter versions. This issue seems to have been introduced with dart 3.11 / flutter 3.41.

So, depending on your project, downgrading to flutter 3.38 could be a temporary workaround.

    For a stable environment:
    puro downgrade stable 3.38.10

For anyone who is struggling with this and wants to use the latest Flutter version with Puro, I suggest cloning my fork (#160), building the executable, swapping with the executable under ~/.puro/bin/ and then (not needed anymore deleting that flutter_web_sdk link before) explicitly running flutter precache --web.
