How to tell if a fix is in the latest version

Hi all,

Apologies for the potentially dumb question.

I'm having the same issue described here, with the "InstantiationService has been disposed" error.

In this linked discussion it says that the fix has been merged and "The fix will be available in tomorrow's daily or in the 2026.06 monthly release". I'm using the most recent update of Positron and I'm getting this error every five minutes it feels like. How can I tell if the fix just hasn't rolled out yet or if the bug hasn't actually been fixed?

You are on the latest stable (monthly) release, but this fix is currently only in the dailies. You can wait until we release 2026.06, or you can opt into daily updates here, in Positron's settings:

Once you've done that, restart Positron and check for updates. You should be able to update to a 2026.06 version, like this one:
